Genesis 15:12-14
12Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, [1] terror and great darkness fell upon him. 13God said to Abram, “Know for certain that your [1] descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, [2] where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years. 14But I will also judge the nation whom they will serve, and afterward they will come out with [1] many possessions.
Exodus 3:19-22
19“But I know that the king of Egypt will not permit you to go, except [1] under compulsion. 20So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all My miracles which I shall do in the midst of it; and after that he will let you go. 21I will grant this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be that when you go, you will not go empty-handed. 22But every woman shall ask of her neighbor and the woman who lives in her house, articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing; and you will put them on your sons and daughters. Thus you will plunder the Egyptians.”
Exodus 12:35-36
35Now the sons of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, for they had requested from the Egyptians articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing; 36and the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have their request. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.
Exodus 25:1-9
- 1Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2“Tell the sons of Israel to [1] raise a [2] contribution for Me; from every man whose heart moves him you shall [1] raise My [2] contribution. 3This is the [1] contribution which you are to [2] raise from them: gold, silver and bronze, 4[1] blue, purple and scarlet material, fine linen, goat hair, 5rams’ skins dyed red, porpoise skins, acacia wood, 6oil for lighting, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, 7onyx stones and setting stones for the ephod and for the [1] breastpiece.
- 8“Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them. 9According to all that I am going to show you, as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture, just so you shall construct it.
Exodus 35:4-9
4Moses spoke to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which the Lord has commanded, saying, 5‘Take from among you a [1] contribution to the Lord; whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as the Lord’s [1] contribution: gold, silver, and [2] bronze, 6and [1] blue, purple and scarlet material, fine linen, goats’ hair, 7and rams’ skins [1] dyed red, and porpoise skins, and acacia wood, 8and oil for lighting, and spices for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense, 9and onyx stones and setting stones for the ephod and for the [1] breastpiece.
Exodus 35:20-29
- 20Then all the congregation of the sons of Israel departed from Moses’ presence. 21Everyone whose heart [1] stirred him and everyone whose spirit [2] moved him came and brought the Lord’s [3] contribution for the work of the tent of meeting and for all its service and for the holy garments.
- 22Then all [1] whose hearts moved them, both men and women, came and brought brooches and [2] earrings and signet rings and bracelets, all articles of gold; so did every man who [3] presented an offering of gold to the Lord.
- 23Every man, [1] who had in his possession [2] blue and purple and scarlet material and fine linen and goats’ hair and rams’ skins [3] dyed red and porpoise skins, brought them.
- 24Everyone who could make a [1] contribution of silver and [2] bronze brought the Lord’s [1] contribution; and every man [3] who had in his possession acacia wood for any work of the service brought it.
- 25All the [1] skilled women spun with their hands, and brought what they had spun, in [2] blue and purple and scarlet material and in fine linen.
- 26All the women whose heart [1] stirred with a skill spun the goats’ hair.
- 27The rulers brought the onyx stones and the stones for setting for the ephod and for the [1] breastpiece; 28and the spice and the oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense.
- 29The [1] Israelites, all the men and women, whose heart [2] moved them to bring material for all the work, which the Lord had commanded through Moses to be done, brought a freewill offering to the Lord.
Exodus 36:2-7
- 2Then Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every [1] skillful person in [2] whom the Lord had put [3] skill, everyone whose heart stirred him, to come to the work to perform it. 3They received from Moses all the [1] contributions which the sons of Israel had brought [2] to perform the work [3] in the construction of the sanctuary. And they still continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning.
- 4And all the [1] skillful men who were performing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from [2] the work which [3] he was performing, 5and they said to [1] Moses, “The people are bringing much more than enough for the [2] construction work which the Lord commanded us to [3] perform.”
- 6So Moses issued a command, and a [1] proclamation was circulated throughout the camp, saying, “Let no man or woman any longer perform work for the [2] contributions of the sanctuary.”
- Thus the people were restrained from bringing any more. 7For the [1] material they had was sufficient and more than enough for all the work, to perform it.
